Synthex has had a global orientation since its inception in 1990 as a software development and consulting services provider in the USA, from where it served internationally a number of smaller and medium companies as well as larger and multinational corporations.  The company established its organizational presence in Europe - Greece around  2000, where it pioneered and lead the products and market development for Electronic Signature Devices and Software (eSign Appliances) used as the base for Transaction Authentication, Compliance and Security solutions (TACS, pronounced as TAX and so reminding their consequent use for Tax Compliance).

Today, utilizing its long standing experience and the highest level expertise of its Leadership Team as well as of the Syn.Net - Synthex Network  of Service and Technology Partners, the company offers Consulting, Services and Technology Solutions for eBusiness and eServices providing for higher Efficiency, Performance Improvement and Business Development with a global market perspective.   We maintain a representative office and affiliated partners in the US and operate Synthex TACS as a separate unit member of the Syn.Net providing as required our base software and device development capabilities.   Thus, the Synthex eBusiness unit is fully equipped, supported and concentrated to provide Consulting, eServices and Solutions for Efficiency and International Development Management.

Dr. Maria Avgerinou (BA, MEd, PhD) : Leader of eServices - eLearning and ePerformance

Dr. Avgerinou has taught in various Universities such as DePaul University, Saint Xavier and Northern Illinois Universities in the United States and the University of Bath in the UK.  She serves as the president in the Department of Distant Learning of the Association of Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) in the United States and is the former president of the International Visual Illustration Association.  ILVA has honored Dr. Avgerinou with Research (2009) and Visual Learning Awards (2001 & 2011 Braden and Bauchamp). She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Philology (BA) from the University of Athens in Greece, Master's and Doctorate Degrees in Educational Psychology & Technology  (MEd, PhD) from the University of Bath in the UK, and various post doctorate degrees in Distant Learning Education, eLearning, and eCollaboration (OE) from London University and Bath University in the UK and University of Indiana in the United States.  She is a certified Master Proctor for eLearning in Quality Matters from the United States and has published many articles and presentations on Online & Blended Learning, Visual Learning, and Active Research.  She serves as the Director of eServices - eLearning - ePerformance and as a Consultant at Synthex. 

Dr. Sofia Hilentzaris (BA, MPA, DBA) : Leader of Strategy - Improvement and eManagement

Dr. Hilentzaris has over 25 years of experience in various business, education and government areas.   She has served in senior administrative and consulting positions at many private and public organizations such as La Rabida Hospital of the University of Chicago, Motorola, DBComm Technology, Cook County of Illinois, SKAI TV - Radio - Kathimerini Media Group, University of Indianapolis Athens, American College of Thessaloniki, American College of Greece and American Community Schools of Athens.  She has taught at the University of Indianapolis, Keller Graduate School of Management, Illinois Institute of Art, Moraine Valley Community College, American College of Thessaloniki, American College of Greece.  She has published articles and presented in various seminars and conferences regarding Leadership, International Strategy, Continuous Quality Improvement and Organizational Development matters in the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.  Dr. Hilentzaris holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Northeastern Illinois University,  a Master's Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Illinois, a Doctorate degree in Business Administration (DBA) from the Swiss Management Center University, and has received Post Graduate Executive training from the Harvard Business School.  She serves as the Director of Strategy - Improvement and eManagement and as a Consultant at Synthex.

Mr. Stathis Hilentzaris (BS, MBA) : CEO and Leader of Technology - eBusiness

Mr. Hilentzaris has more than 30 years of technical, administrative and managerial experience from various positions he has held in Business Applications Design and Development, Technology and Management Consulting,  Senior and Chief Executive Management.   He has served in numerous Multinational Companies and Public Organizations in the United States, Europe and elsewhere, participating in some of the largest projects on a global level regarding implementation of RDBMS, DSS, ERP, EAI, EDI, e-Business applications and business development strategies. He has pioneered, designed and managed the development and marketing of many innovative software and technology applications, both as custom systems and/or as commercial product implementations.  Mr. Hilentzaris holds a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics & Computer Science (BS) from the University of Illinois and a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Keller Graduate School of Management. He is the CEO, Chief Technology Officer and a Consultant at Synthex.

Mr. Chronis Karachalios (BS, MBA) : Leader of Commerce and Marketing

Mr. Karachalios has held CEO/COO positions and responsibilities for more than 15 years.  He is a very experienced and highly accomplished sales and marketing-oriented director with excellent knowledge of all marketing and sales processes, possessing solid analytical and team management skills. He has a Proven track-record of developing new business through strategic negotiation while cultivating new relationships with key decision makers.  He is very strong in formulating and executing strategies for creating new accounts through effective cold-calling and networking initiatives, leading to sales quota achievements year – after – year.  He has served in various positions involving Strategic Business Development Marketing & Sales management, Relationship building, Team Building & Leadership, Business/Revenue growth, Strategic planning, Forecasting / prospecting, Multi-channel distribution - CRM Philosophy.  Mr. Karachalios holds a Bachelor's of Sciences (BS) from the National Technical University of Peiraeus in Greece and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Henley University in the UK.  He is now the Chief Operating Officer and a Commerce and Marketing Consultant at Synthex.

Mr. Manolis Anestopoulos (BS, MBA) : Leader of Analysis and Development

Mr. Anestopoulos for over 20 years has being a business accounting, financial and information technology consultant for small, medium and larger size organizations.  Furthermore, for over 15 years he has managed the analysis, design, development and implementation of numerous business information and management systems for various vertical industries and markets, as well as of a horizontal ERP/CRM Platform-System.  He is also a Level A Licensed Accountant (CPA equivalent), financial and Tax Consultant.  Mr. Anestopoulos holds a Bachelor’s from the Business/Economics University of Athens, a Systems Analyst Certificate and a Master’s in Business Administration from Cardiff Business School.  He serves as the Director of Analysis and Development and as a Consultant at Synthex.

Ms. Stavroula Beka (BS, MBA) : Leader of Presentation and Promotion

Ms. Beka has over 15 years of business and technology experience from serving in positions internationally involving customer service, technical support, marketing and sales development and account management.   She is very strong in administering the formulation and execution of programs combining customer support with presentations, advertising, purchasing incentives and other promotional tools to create and improve customer loyalty and retention as well as develop new sales and customers.   Ms Beka holds a Bachelor’s of Science (BS) from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Keller Graduate School of Management in the United States.  She is the Director of Presentation and Promotion and a Consultant at Synthex.

Ms. Erene Hilentzaris: BA
Ms. Hilentzaris has over 8 years of experience in American and European work environments including positions in customer service, office administration, sales, marketing and business communications.  Her strengths include contact and relationship development and coordination of online business presence through web, social media, and other marketing. She holds a Bachelor's in Communications and will be pursuing a Master's in Business Administration at the University of Indianapolis.


Mr. Nicholas Kouvaris: BS
Mr. Kouvaris has experience in positions involving exporting, importing and customs procedures, office administration, marketing and training material development and customer support.  He holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business and HR from the University of Indianapolis.
